Load a Single Deposition/Transcript

At the top of the home page, click on the Depositions tab (or Transcript if that's what you need).

Select New: Deposition.

The next screen (below) indicates that you may; 1) have the system determine the deponent automatically, 2) add as a volume to an existing deponent, or 3) provide a new name. Select the label you'd like to have this deposition associated with (if any), Browse to your deposition (we accept ASCII, PTF, PTX, PDF, LEF, or CMS) and press Upload.

After your batch of depositions has finished processing, Advanced and Standard users can edit the deposition date, volume number and start page. Once inside the deposition itself, click on More Options > Edit in the upper right side of the page.

Batch Load Multiple Depositions

Advanced users are also able to upload batches of depositions using a .ZIP file (we accept we accept ASCII, PTF, PTX, PDF, LEF, and/or CMS).

Nextpoint auto-detects and sets the standard metadata fields for your deposition & courtroom transcripts upon upload. Occasionally, electronic transcripts have issues and the fields aren't correctly identified during upload. Although you can manually edit this information (by following the instructions above), it can become tedious when correcting a large number of depositions. To automate the proper input of all metadata during upload, build a simple load file to help you direct the metadata to the right place.

***Download the sample .CSV load files from the bottom of this page (transcripts.csv, depositions.csv) to give you the structure you'll need.

Create your zip file and click on the Deposition tab.
